Our main fur suppliers have informed us of upcoming price increases on their furs, which in turn will cause our prices to mirror these changes.
Changes to our upcoming queue!
Starting at the beginning of January 2020 we will be implementing a new system for how our queues will work in the future. We are calling it "Active queue, wait queue". Rather than seperating queues into different time slots, we will have only 2 queues. We designed this to be much less confusing than our current format.
One will be the "Active queue" which has only projects that are completely paid off, and will be worked on in the order of payment completion. The second queue, the "wait" queue, will be available for commissions we have accepted that are using payment plans.
Once a suit from the wait queue is paid off, it will be moved to the bottom of the active queue. This would open a new slot in our wait queue. It is also possible, if our wait queue is full and there are spaces available in the active queue, we will offer quotes for active queue slots. Any commissions accepted this way must be paid in full.
We feel this method will lower overall wait times for project completion. We also hope to give more people an opportunity to have a suit made by us, as we will have more available openings throughout the year.
*****During the initial transition, it is very likely that both the active queue and wait queue will have fully paid off projects, which may cause congestion. We ask that you be patient with us during the this period while we adjust to the new changes.*****
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FUR YOU?
- less stress on payment deadlines! We get a lot of messages about people worried they will not have their suits paid off before their time slot comes up. This will allow for people in tight financial situations time to get their finances in order without a deadline looming over them.
-Less wait times for people who pay up front! Often times, someone will pay their suit off before someone in an earlier time slot, but still get their project worked on later because of the seasonal queues.
-We will be able to be much more organized! Seasonal queues can get confusing for both us, and our commissioners. Wondering which time slot they are in, or how that affects their wait time compared to someone else. This will be easier for us to give more accurate time estimates.
HOW DOES THIS AFFECT OUR CURRENT QUEUE
It does not affect how our current queue will be working. All projects commissioned prior to this new system will be completed before we start. This new system will be implemented in January of 2020.
